Pictures of Micah (Maddy too) with new SLR camera

This week, Micah started crawling! He still slips and slides across our wooden floor but when he's on carpet, he can get around quite easily.

These pictures were taken with our new digital SLR. The camera is definitely better than our old point and shoot but Jessica has been yearning for some natural sunlight so that she doesn't have to use the flash.

Pre School

We've enrolled Micah in an infant preschool. It meets once a week and the babies attend with their mommies. With about 15 other babies, we sing songs, dance around, learn calculus and PLAY! At the last class, the teacher blew bubbles and Micah absolutely loved it!

Inauguration Weekend!

Micah was in a spirit of pure celebration during the inauguration weekend. Micah is one of President Obama's strongest and most vocal supporters. In fact, Daddy was crushed because he had thought that when Micah said "Ababababa" he was trying to say "Aba," the Korean word for father. It turns out he was trying to say Obama.

To celebrate the inauguration, the family took a day trip to Bellingham, a town near the Canadian border. We had a great time. We also had the Burwick's over. Nick and Seth celebrated the inauguration with Guitar Hero.

Seattle Children's Museum

We went to Seattle Children's Museum today. They had all sorts of cool exhibits including the Mr. Potatohead exhibit and an around-the-world exhibit featuring houses from different countries.

Catherine trip part 2

Catherine's visit (part 1) and the recent snow fall.

We had a terrible time during Micah's first snow fall. The whole city of Seattle basically shut down. They apperently don't have modern technologies here such as salt or snow plows. The only one who really enjoyed the snow was Maddy. Catherine is here now and Micah is having a great time with her. He even ate bread at a restaurant (above). Also, although he can not crawl, he can get pretty close (but not all the way) to standing up using the fence on his playpen.
